... and decided it was time for a new journal entry. So I'll tell you people about my recent Swim Meet.
I was not optimistic, due to the traumatizing experience that was my last swim meet. We went to Clovis, New Mexico, which is a three hour drive from where I live. WE DIDN'T GET BACK UNTIL MIDNIGHT, AND THEN HAD TO GO TO SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY. I did awful, and I was very very upset by the time I got home. This time, however, we had a home meet. I had a fifty meter backstroke (in a relay, which is where four people from the same team compete against other such groups) and though I lost, I beat my best time. I had fourty seven point something seconds. Next was a fifty meter freestyle. I lost again, but shaved two seconds off my best time, which was thirty eight point something seconds. Then I had another fifty freestyle, this time in a relay. I got thirty five point sixty seconds, and was second to last. Lastly, I had to do a one hundred meter breastroke (which is similar to how aa frog swims, if you've ever seen that). The other two people I was competing with were from my team, which was nice. I WON. WOOO. And I got my best time of a minute and thirty nine point something seconds. WOO.

I'm leaving for Florida on Wednesday. I'm not supposed to know where I'm going, but Mom was awesome and she told me. I'm scuba diving with dad. Yay... I'm taking my laptop, so I'll probably still be on in the evenings. I'm not very excited. I would much rather have stayed at home and enjoyed Thanksgiving in my bed, sleeping in until noon. *sigh*

Also, I got Star Trek today. Yesh!
